Best of Houston – Eats and Drinks!

Live in Houston, or maybe just visiting? From brunch to drinks these are my favorite spots in the city! If you have questions about any of these, just ask!

Tiny Boxwoods – West Alabama

  • Tiny Boxwoods
    • If Lauren Conrad or the cast from The Hills came to Houston, they would def be brunching here. Totally Insta-worthy and food is amazing! The migas and donuts are my faves, but leave without their famous chocolate chip cookie and you’ll regret it! Cookies so famous – say hello to Tiny’s Milk and Cookies
  • The Union Kitchen
    • With several locations around town, this is one of my favorite spots to take friends. Reason why? There’s something for everyone and it’s all good! It’s also not super fancy, so a great casual brunch spot. Love all of the comfort food options like “Fried Chicken and Biscuits” and “Buttermilk Pancakes”
  • Sweet Paris Creperie
    • You don’t have to fly to France for these puppies! Order at the counter and you’ll choose from sweet or savory. If crepes aren’t your thing their omelettes and salads are great too. Best part?! all crepes are less than $10 and they are super delicious and filling!
Sweet Paris

  • El Tiempo Cantina
    • The Holy Grail of Tex-Mex! The hubs and I dine here almost as much as our house! The margaritas are…let’s just say strong! The frozen strawberry is my fave. Chips and green sauce is the best, but don’t fill up because the Fajitas. OMG the chicken/beef fajitas will change your life! You MUST dip your fajitas in the melted butter sauce or I’m pretty sure you’ll die unfulfilled. The green rice is delish and I always get the charro beans instead of refried. Be ready to leave smelling of Mexican food, it’s a badge of honor – so own it!
  • Blue Fish Sushi
    • What do I love most about Blue Fish besides their Sundae Sushi Roll? Their food is consistent which can sometimes be hard to find in a sushi restaurant. Also, their service is really good! Also, love the Korean Pot Stickers and their famous Table-side Ahi Tower. Sundays are half priced bottles of wine, so talk about a no brainer?!
  • Ibiza
    • Looking for a place to celebrate? This downtown spot is perfect! Amazing wine and cocktail list to start. The “small bites” scallops are to die for! They have a delicious caesar salad and seriously you can’t go wrong with any of the mains. Let them know you’re celebrating and their festive cotton candy topped with a sparkler makes for the best picture!
El Tiempo – Frozen Strawberry Margarita

  • Tout Suite
    • Another Insta-worthy spot where you are sure to find a fix for your coffee cravings and much more. With fun specials like Macaroon Mondays and Truffle Tuesdays make sure you make a stop here!
  • Kraftsmen Baking
    • This local Heights place couldn’t be cuter! The coffee is great and atmosphere is even better. This is the type of place you can grab a book or your laptop and enjoy the morning sipping away at your latte. Of course, all of the pastries are delicious and so are the breakfast tacos!
  • Cafeza
    • A true coffee house for real coffee lovers! Enjoy a fresh cup of coffee, your favorite latte or even one of their favorite teas. What else is amazing about this place, churros all day long! Let me repeat- churros!! #winning

Happy  Hour

  • La Griglia
    • Grab a table at the bar or at hightop table and enjoy these awesome specials!
      • Weekdays from 3pm-7pm
      • $6 Glasses and $24 Bottles of Wine
      • $8 Pizza’s
  • Benjy’s
    • Upper Washington location has a better Happy Hour in my opinion than Rice Village
      • Weekdays 4-7pm
      • $6 Cocktails – Elderflower Elixir is my fave!
      • $5 Glasses of Wine
      • $6 Appetizers – brussels and goat cheese cakes are my fave
  • 13 Celsius
    • Downtown’s true hidden gem, one of my all time favorites that I’ll never quit
      • $12 Baked Brie – best in town
      • $16 S’mores for Six , but I usually finish it with just the hubs 😉
      • Wine and Bubbles only – the selection is huge!
